Doing so, he hoped to get admiration from the power-hungry Deputy Director General Diana Taverner. In an attempt to do that, he places a bug (a listening device ) in Jackson Lamb’s office. He tells Taverner about that, which she asks to remove; if he doesn’t, she threatens to report him to “The Dogs.” Also, she asks Jed Moody to carry out a series of favors for her. So, Moody returns to the Slough House to remove the bug.
