Janelle Monae actually takes on multiple roles in “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery“:Cassandra “Andi” Brand: her primary role Monae portrays. Andi is an entrepreneur who has a falling out with her former business partner, tech billionaire Miles Bron (played by Edward Norton). Despite the tension, she accepts his invitation to a luxurious getaway on his private Greek island. Secondly, Helen Brand:  A twist in the plot reveals that Andi has a twin sister named Helen. Monae also steps into this role, showcasing her acting range. Then the third and last Helen pretends to be Andi:  As the story unfolds, there’s a situation where Helen takes on Andi’s identity. This adds another layer to Monae’s performance. So, while initially introduced as Cassandra “Andi” Brand, Monae takes on a more complex role that involves portraying both Andi and her sister throughout the film. 

Each role of her has distinctive personalities which was possible due to the expert styling and makeup artist they put in all their efforts and brought the characters to life.
