With her two kids and a newborn child, Evelyn Abbott faces deadly attacks from the aliens, and she knows the mysterious creature. Evelyn Abbott hides with her family and fights for the family's survival without making any noise to prevent the attacks of creatures that chase and hunt by sound. Now, after 474 days of the alien invasion in part one of the movie, Abbotts courageously with her kids leave their farm and move to find civilization. Due to this reason, the survivors have no other choice left but to enter into the hostile territory, hoping for a change, but this time aliens brutally attacked everywhere.

Speaking on the podcast, Krasinki describes how these mysterious creatures evolved. So, the central aspect is these creatures grew up on a planet that had no light and humans; that’s why they don’t require eyes; they can hunt with the help of sound.

In the movie, the creature's weakness is water. Lee and Marcus have their dialogue behind a waterfall, so the creatures don’t chase them. Evelyn also avoids detection and moves around with water.
